Watch that Depth of Field

When taking photos with a camera that you control the aperture setting, make sure you watch your setting and that you are aware of the depth of field.  This image shows what I am talking about.  The last pretty lady is a little soft (and I mean the crispness of the photo - not the lady herself!).  This photo was taken @ f4.8; 1/125, and ISO 200.

The exposure is good, so how could I get a higher aperture????  Up the f and up the ISO!  I could have taken the f stop to about f8 and kicked up the ISO to 500.  That would have given me more depth and a touch of grain from the higher ISO.

I Love Bald Eagles!

I am still playing with the photos I took on my eagle watching trip.  I aged one for some fun affect.

Bald Eagles!

My hubby rented me a 200-400 f4 VR Nikon lens for our recent trip to watch Bald Eagles.  These photos were taken with this great lens!

Watch Pratts Photography for State Park Photos

Hello one and all.  I LOVE nature and being outdoors.  This year I am taking my photography on a journey through the state parks of Alabama.  I will be blogging about my adventures at my other blog - http://www.achievedreamsdaily.com/.  I will be sharing my favorite shots here and on my regular website - http://www.prattsphotography.com/ -  I hope to capture some great photos that will share my impression of the parks so make sure you check it out all through the year.

Here is a photo I took last year when visiting a state park.
